Yes, Julie, I’m in agreement too. After a fairly humiliating breakup with my four-year boyfriend, even after he and I reunited, I was very cautious of changing my relationship status BACK to being “in a relationship” so I just left it blank. I also majorly tweaked my privacy settings. Which worked and, as I intuitively felt, the second breakup (this time I pulled the plug) was much less painful as a result. I only changed the relationship status from blank to “Single” after I started dating again. Now I’m back in a “pseudo relationship” so I’m not sure what to do.

Answer? I changed my status from “Single” to blank again. And I think I’m keeping it there. That is, unless Francois seems more than determined to change his. At this rate, I doubt it. And even if he did? I’m not so sure. There I go, dancing the Caution Dance again! ;)

I’d say that was a good answer! I’m all about the blank status. I don’t think I’ll ever put up a status unless I’m married. It’s not worth the drama!

Also, his rigmarole with the facebook status sounds immature and… well… un-masculine to me. I’m not sure that I’m not a fan of his mind-games!
